2015-01-17 New Year's Party

We are having again our annual New Year's Party! It is attended by our members, their families and friends, and invited dignitaries. As always, you enjoy raffle, music and Japanese traditional dancing, silent auction, souvenir bags, our popular Bento Lunch Box and a pair of Red&White rice cakes.

2014-11-21 : Annual General Meeting

With our bylaws revision approved this summer, starting this year, our business year starts on November and ends with October. Accordingly, our annual general meeting, therefore, will be held on the third Friday of November, which is November 21st. All members of Pioneer Center are encouraged to participate in this annual meeting in order to discuss issues related to our cause, bring out concerns that you have about our organization, and elect a slate of new board members for the year 2015.

2014-10-26 : Seminar - Kanae Nagasawa by author Masahiro Watanabe

A book author, Mr. Masahiro Watanabe, will talk about the life of Kanae Nagasawa of early 20th century immigrant. In early Meiji era of Japan, Mr. Nagasawa travelled to the United Kingdom to study but instead of returning to Japan, he immigrated to the United States and developed his business and finally opened a winery in California.

Annual Fundraising 2015 Started

This year targeting $80,000, Pioneer Center has started its annual campaign (City of Los Angeles, R3920) in order to enhance our cause of helping senior citizens and disadvantaged people in Los Angeles County.
